We have been very busy working and learning math concepts. We have now covered topics 1-4 in our Envision math series. Some of these include place value, comparing and ordering numbers, counting money,and problem solving. Topic 2 included addition, rounding, and estimating sums. Topic 3 developed the addition concept while adding 3 digit numbers. Topic 4 developed subtraction skills including regrouping.

Our reading/writing groups are hard at work. We are reading from the guided reading books from our library. Some of the topics we have read are: endangered animals, Yellowstone National Park, rainforests, Lewis and Clark Expedition, fossils, Columbus, desert life and now we are reading about Native Americans. We are writing in our journals and writing descriptive sentences each week.
