GENERAL INFORMATION |
Comfort Elementary's Gifted and Talented Programs Welcome to CES Gifted and Talented Programs. Comfort Elementary School has programs for academically gifted and talented students.
5th Grade ALPHA Students will visit the museum of the War in the Pacific, the "Nimitz Museum" on Monday, April 12th. Details will be forthcoming.
3rd and 4th Grade ALPHA students have a field trip to the "Pioneer Museum" in Fredericksburg, Tx. on Thursday, April 15th. Details will be announced later. |

GT PROGRAMS |
Comfort Elementary PEG and Alpha Programs: *provide compliance with state and local policies *spark exploration of advanced content in writing, social studies, and language arts *offer creative explorations in math and science *foster work in group settings, while reinforcing the responsibilities of each student's contribution *encourage lifelong habits in reading, thoughtful questioning, and learning *develop high expectations for personal behavior and character |

PEG |
PEG Program (Primary Education Gifted) *PEG is for identified gifted students in Kindergarden through Second grade. Students are served within their classrooms through differentiated instruction. |

ALPHA |
Alpha Program *Alpha is the GT program for students in grades Third through Fifth. These identified students receive differentiated classroom instruction,as well as attending a daily "pull out" Alpha class. |

NOMINATIONS FOR ALPHA |
Testing for Program Admission Nominations for Alpha and PEG Programs are taken in the spring semester. Parents will be notified of informational meetings through letters in the Monday folders, as well as through information posted on this site.
From March 1st-12th, nominations for ALPHA are being accepted. Any student may be nominated for testing by a parent or teacher. |
