Welcome back to CMS! I am Coach Brydson and I will be teaching 8th Grade Pre-Algebra, TAKS Reading, Career Investigation/Criminal Justice and I am coaching 7th grade girls volleyball, basketball and track. I also assitant coach 8th grade volleyball, basketball and track. I am also the 8th grade class sponsor.

I am looking forward to working with and getting to know your child this year.

Clear communication among the student, teacher, and parent is extremely important for the student to be successful. If your child is having difficulty with anything in my class, with advance notice I can schedule time to work with them. If you need to visit with me about your child I have conference daily from 10:25-11:15. Due to my coaching responsibilities, please contact me in advance so I can make myself available for a conference before or after school.

This is my second year at Comfort Middle School, my seventh year as a classroom teacher and my ninth year in education. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Reading and Spanish and a certification in Early Childhood from Tarleton State University in 1995. I am also coaching 7th and 8th grade volleyball, basketball and track and field.

I grew up in the Ft. Worth area but I have lived in Fredericksburg for the past 13 years. I have been married for 15 years and I have 2 children. My daughter, Keelie, is in 7th grade here in Comfort and my son, Westin, is in 4rd grade in Fredericksburg. I am from a family full of educators ranging from classroom teachers to retired superintendents, retired counselors and current college professors. My husband also received his Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Education but is no longer teaching.
