I can't believe it is already the 2nd six weeks. We are rolling right along. We are becoming readers,writers and most of all THINKERS! Please keep working with your child at night. This time with him/her is invaluable.


This is where, you as the parents and I as the teacher become a team!  I will be teaching your child as hard as I can at school.  That's a promise.  I hope that you will be doing the same at home.  Here are some things you can do to help.

1. Talk to your child about his/her day. Tell them about your day.
2. Read to your child every night. Then let him/her practice reading to you. Talk about what you
    have read.
3. Help your child with his/her homework, but don't do it for him/her.

Hard work and practice will make your child's first grade year a success.
